Paul Thomson

Paul Thomson
Managing Director - Australia & New Zealand

Paul began his career in the Transport and Logistics industry in 1983 with Tradeair Ltd in Auckland, New Zealand. He was exposed to all sectors of the business before being trained to become a licenced Customs Broker in 1989.

Subsequently Paul began his own company, JHB International Customs & Forwarding Ltd. JHB was acquired by DSV Air & Sea in 2007 and Paul remained Managing Director until 2014, when he was promoted to Managing Director of both DSV New Zealand and Australia.

Beyond his DSV commitments, Paul enjoys quality time with his family and has a keen interest in sports. He has completed 4 New Zealand Ironman races and still enjoys road cycling when the body and time allows. He also holds a Trustee role on the Waitakere Sports Stadium in Auckland and has been actively involved with Surf Lifesaving for more than 20 years.

His goals for DSV in future are to substantially grow the DSV footprint within the AU/NZ logistics sector in both market share and brand awareness.

 

Steve Janides

Steve Janides
Finance Director - Australia & New Zealand

Steve was appointed to the role of Finance Director in 2008 succeeding the merger of ABX Logistics and DSV Air & Sea. Prior to his appointment at DSV, he held a number of senior roles including Chief Operating Officer at ABX Logistics and subsequently Chief Financial Officer of Mainfreight International.

Steve graduated from Phillip Institute of Technology (PIT) after completing a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and entered the International Logistics industry in 1988, having previously served two years in the Government sector. He has the overall responsibility for the finance, IT, legal, risk and governance areas of the company’s businesses throughout the Pacific region.

Steve also holds the position of Company Secretary and has been a Board Member of multiple organisations and bodies in the logistics, motor vehicle and sporting sectors.

 

Margaret Featherstone

Director, Sales & Commercial Business - Australia & New Zealand

Margaret Featherstone began her career in Transport and Logistics over 20 years ago as a Customs Broker.Skilled in Operations Management, Supply Chain Optimisation, Import Freight and Reverse Logistics, Margaret has built a vast array of experience in the Global Logistics Industry.

She was appointed Director – Sales and Commercial Business Australia & New Zealand in early 2017, following 7 years as General Manager, Melbourne Branch.

As an experienced Director of Business Sales, Margaret has a demonstrated history of working in the Logistics and Supply Chain Industry.

In her role as Director – Sales and Commercial Business, Margaret is responsible for the overall management of and control of DSV Australia & New Zealand Sales, Marketing and Commercial strategy and functions.

Margaret holds a Certificate in Business Management from Holmesglen, RMIT and outside her commitments with DSV, enjoys spending precious time with her family, the theatre and has an appreciation of good food and wine.
